proxyBL Removal Policy

This is information about removals

Removal

As proxyBL is a fully automated service there is no 'request removal' procedure. Hosts that are listed in the DNSBL due to open proxies are re-verified on a regular basis. If a host is found no longer open the host is re-classed (queued for later checks) and the listing removed from the DNSBL.

The verification checks start at one every hour, but the time between checks is increased every time no changes are found.

This means that the longer a host is a verified open proxy, the longer it takes for it to be removed. Call it karma.

Please remove me manually

No. Unless you run a honeypot that intentionally tricks scanners into thinking it's an open proxy or something similar there will be no interference with the automatic listing/delisting of hosts.
